Terms of service

By installing Shepherd on a Discord server or by starting a subscription you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, don't use the Service.

1. Who provides the Service

Shepherd is operated by FILIPPO CASTAGNA — ITALY. Contact: filippocastagna44@gmail.com. Shepherd is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Discord Inc.

2. What the Service does

Shepherd analyses images posted in the Discord servers where it is installed in order to identify content associated with crypto and financial scams, and applies the action configured by the server administrator.

3. Who can use it

To install the bot you must hold the Manage Server permission on the server you add it to, and comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. You must have the legal capacity to enter into a contract.

4. Your responsibilities as an administrator

• You choose the automatic action. Bans, kicks and timeouts applied on your server remain your decisions, taken under the configuration you set.
• You are responsible for informing your members that an automated content moderation system operates on the server, and for making this privacy policy accessible to them.
• You agree to review reports and reverse incorrect actions using the tools the Service provides.
• You may not use the Service for anything other than anti-fraud moderation, nor attempt to circumvent its limits, resell it or reverse-engineer it.

5. No guarantee of results

Shepherd uses AI models and heuristics. Like any automated classification system it can be wrong in both directions: it may miss a scam and it may flag legitimate content. The Service is provided "as is", with no warranty of accuracy, continuity or freedom from error.

We recommend leaving watch-only mode on until you have verified how the bot behaves on your server.

6. Subscription, price and renewal

• Subscriptions are per server. Each server you want to protect needs its own subscription.
• Payment is monthly and in advance, through Stripe. It renews automatically until cancelled.
• Prices shown on the site include applicable taxes, calculated at checkout based on your country and declared tax status.
• You can cancel at any time from the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for; until then the Service stays active. Partial refunds for the current period are not offered.
• If a payment fails, the plan is suspended and the server reverts to the free features until the payment is settled.
• Price changes are announced at least 30 days in advance and apply from the next renewal.

7. Usage quotas

Each plan includes a monthly maximum number of analyses of previously unseen images. Recognitions that happen through a known fingerprint or through the shared network do not consume quota. Once the limit is reached the bot keeps blocking what it recognises and pauses analysis of new images until the monthly reset. No overage charges are applied without your consent.

8. Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union you have the right to withdraw within 14 days of purchase. By activating a subscription you expressly request immediate provision of the Service and acknowledge that, once performed, the right of withdrawal no longer applies to the portion already supplied. In any case, if you are unhappy within the first 14 days, contact us: we refund the first month without argument.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access in cases of use that breaches these terms, Discord's terms or the law, attempted technical abuse, or non-payment. You may stop using the Service at any time by removing the bot from your server and cancelling the subscription.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the event. We are not liable for indirect damages, loss of data, lost profits, loss of members or reputational harm arising from incorrect actions, missed detections or interruptions of the Service.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, nor the mandatory rights granted to consumers by Italian and European law.

11. Intellectual property

The software, the name and the site content remain the property of the Service operator. A subscription grants a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right of use limited to the subscription period.

12. Changes to these terms

Changes are published on this page. Material changes are announced at least 30 days in advance to administrators of subscribed servers. Continued use after they take effect constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Italian law. For disputes with consumers, the courts of the consumer's place of residence or domicile have jurisdiction. For disputes with business customers, the courts of Verona, Italy have jurisdiction.

Consumers resident in the European Union may use the European Commission's ODR platform for online dispute resolution.
